Alexander Swart now servicing clients far and wide

Certain Alexander Swart Property estate agents have grabbed at the opportunity to work outside of the Brackenfell and Kraaifontein precincts to which they were previously consigned when the 40 man/woman agency operated as a Rawson Property Group franchise.

We are on our way to meeting our new goal of R1 billion turnover within 30 months, said Rowan Alexander, Director of the new Cape Town Northern Suburbs estate agency Alexander Swart Property.

Stefan Engelke has been one of the agents to respond enthusiastically to the new challenges.  In the first six weeks of working under the new arrangement he secured mandates for the sale of a home in Parklands at R 1,199,000 and an apartment in Burgundy Estate at R825,000, a home in Kleinmond at R 4,995,000 and a prestigious mountainside home in Gordons Bay at R 4,195,000.

The Gordons Bay home, says Engelke, has a controversial history, but is one of the iconic mountainside properties in the area, all of  which have spectacular views of False Bay. 

The Sunday newspaper Rapport ran a story (which was taken up by Huisgenoot) on the owner’s background.  He and his wife claimed to be Belgian aristocrats and he himself  to be a counter terrorist expert as well as an accomplished violinist and the inventor of a machine to detect false diamonds.  He was, he said, a member of several important counter-terror organizations.  However Rapport ascertained that he had, in fact, come from Parow and had attended school there and  at De Tygerberg.  The home was seized by the Sheriff acting on instructions from the court  following an action by Standard Bank for non-payment of loans.  It has now been taken over by a liquidation company who have refurbished it entirely.
